Hello gentle reader,
this week again I’m happy to report that I have been working well toward my ROW80 goal: I’m ALMOST done self-editing my Fantasy novel THE LAST QUEEN… I hope to be completely done by Wednesday.
This week on the blog you can find out if you are like the writers depicted in the movies (here). It’s fun, try and take the test!
I also recommend you join a new meme called The Writer In You, hosted by Katie @The Fiction Diaries. Every Saturday she asks a question about our writing habits.
Finally, I wanted to share with you an infographic called How a Book is Born. It was created by the publishing house Weldon Owen and it shows “the path of a book from idea to final product”.
Here it is:
According to its author, the chart is only 74% accurate… Find out more here.
And last but not least, here is the Linky for the other ROW80 participants…
Have a great week and happy writing!
Well done on self-editing, fingers crossed that you’ll finish when you think you will. Personally self-editing for me is a painfully process, i absolutely hate it
Oh I soooo wish I was that close to finishing my edits. Bleh. They seem to be never ending… And the beta’s have to do their bit yet. I”l pin this info graph – tis good! And I have to go look into the Saturday meme. 🙂

Ahh! The joys of edits. It’s hardcore…lol. Love your image…the goat farming bit had me laughing out loud. Best of luck. I know how you can read and read and read until your eyes blur. Then, you send it off for copy editing, and…there’s more. Ha.
Nice! I hate editing, but it’s a necessary evil. Glad you’re almost done with it!
Have a great week!
Good luck on the editing! It’s actually my favorite part of the process 🙂
Thank you for your comment, I am now following you on Twitter too 🙂
Editing is an unknown beast to me so glad it is going we for you. I have just decided which book to review over at my place, it is called ‘Daughters’ by Elizabeth Buchan.
Have a great week!
editing ugh:( I drag my feet and wail like a fractious child at the thought – well done you on your week and all best for coming days 🙂
